AI visibility
Whether AI assistants name your company when answering the questions your buyers ask, and how often they name somebody else.
Updated
AI visibility is whether an AI assistant names your company when someone asks it a question you should win — and how often, next to whom.
Why does it split into two numbers?
Because two different things can go wrong, they are measured by different means, and confusing them is the most common mistake in this category.
The first half is legibility: can an engine fetch, parse and quote your pages at all. That is deterministic and cheap to measure — the free audit on this site scores it out of a hundred in about ten seconds, using published thresholds and no language model. The second half is presence: when the question is actually asked, does your name appear. That one can only be answered by asking the engines and recording what comes back.
Legibility is a precondition, not a promise. A site that scores a hundred has removed the reasons it was being skipped; it has not supplied a reason to be chosen. A site that scores twelve is being skipped for reasons that have nothing to do with how good its product is.
